Many of the women folk artists represented at Galería Namu, such as Luz and her family, are part of an artisan co-operative: the Corazones Valientes group. Their art often depicts neo-tropical animals within their natural environs – the northern lowlands of Costa Rica – a habitat which is the back yard of these women artists.
Hand-painted (acrylics) on carved laurel wood. A decorative platter for décor use only.
