Decorative Plate

Throughout Costa Rica one can encounter traditional, indigenous handmade pottery by local Indians and/or theirfamilies. This large decorative plate, known as a comal (tortilla plate) with natural mineral slips, features, as the central motif, an injured warrior taken from a motif on a pottery object related to the culture of the Chorotega Indians.
