Hand carved balsa wood, this wonderfully rough-hewn tribal mask was worn in the Danza de los Diablitos of 2012-2013 in the village of Rey Curré, Costa Rica. Available with accompanying photo documentation of mask being used in this traditional tribal event. This mask personage – representing the indigenous population before the invading Spanish – is an angry diablo (demon) mask .
