Traditional Diablo Masks

This mask type is simply a diablo mask that would be worn in the ceremonial Danza de los Diablitos, however, this mask category consists of un-used diablo masks. These masks represent the Brunka people in the choreography of the dance and are carved from balsa wood or tropical cedar wood and sometimes other hard woods; they are either left natural, smeared with pigments and charcoal, or hand-painted.
