Original Art: Animal Prtotector Spiral
This particular work features a homage to the protector spirit of the forest’s animals (jaguar represented by her paw prints). Most traditional tribal people understand that those of the animal kingdom are our relatives too and to do damage to the animals, over hunt them, or to wound them without mercifully killing one’s game is tabu, or a “sin”.
This renowned indigenous artist, Nago Elizondo, paints scenes from Maleku cosmologies and natural surroundings.
