Feline Transformation Jade Amulet

This lighter green and mottled feline transformation amulet is a typical design for its era. Found in many excavated pre-European contact sites in this jade region, visually, its represents notions of shape-shifting featuring, in an architypical motif, a feline whose tail is a bird. A mammalian form with an upturned tail was an ubiquitous motif created in jade and cast gold.
