Mask Amulet
This particular hand carved, Pre-Columbian replicated jade mask amulet represents the visage of a shaman or chieftain, or possibly his mask, with a crown of crocodile heads. The crocodile, a venerated animal found within the many waterways in and around the jade producing region of Guanacaste, Costa Rica and the northern plains of the Atlantic watershed.
