Description

Pre-Hispanic Vessel

Creatively composed Pre-Hispanic vessel, this typical tripod piece would have been placed in the tomb of an important personage (clearly to be used for maybe corn liquor, or chocolate drink in the afterlife).

The three supports appear to terminate in upright human cadavers. This middle-late period tripod vessel pertains to the seminal cultures of the Caribbean watershed and coastal plains and Central Valley regions of today’s Costa Rica.

  •  Size: 12″ across
  • Pre-Columbian Pottery
  • AD 800 – 1000
