These woven baskets, handmade from split chunga palm leaf and colored with natural dyes by the indigenous Wounaan tribe, features design themes derived from the flora and fauna of the Wounaan’s territory in the Darien region of Panama.

With an eye-pleasing, stylized-naturalistic style, 3 bats are the theme of this gem of a basket. The handsome and surprisingly naturalistic design repeats about the middle of this piece.
