A decorative wall plate woven from split wild chunga palm leaf and natural dyes, reflecting the fine basketry work of the indigenous Wounaan of Panama. Design themes are derived from the flora and fauna of Wounaan territory in the Darien region of Panama. This particular design is that of stylized butterflies, tropical foliage and traditional cultural motifs creating a lively ring of design elements upon a lightly concave disk form. Its imposing diametre and bold colours would add character to any space in which it hangs.
