Description
Jade Amulet
Anthropomorphic figure created in a light, multi-toned and veined jade. This jade amulet figure has its legs defined by the slot through the lower half of the amulet, seen in several pieces of this archeological period. This is achieved by making a cut as straight as possible with the ancient cord and abrasives cutting technique employed by the sculptors of this very hard material. This piece most likely represents a shaman, or chieftain.
